To make your time in Cusco more valuable and your Spanish learning faster, we offer a solution to stay in the home of a Peruvian family. As of now we offer 2 FairStay options that are located close to the city centre, FairServices facility and WaaW project. Our homestays which we call FairStays have a unique price-point for a room and 3 meals per day included (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
This is our newest project! Volunteers and interns now have the option to stay in the Volunteer House during their time in Cusco., The house is located very close to our WaaW project and is an ideal fit if you are working at WaaW and like to be surrounded by other volunteers. The Volunteer House offers bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a living room and a dining room. Prices for the Volunteer House are at a lower rate than the homestays as they do not include meals. However with some communication you should be able to split your groceries between the other volunteers in the house or have the option of eating out at one of the many restaurants and cafes.
As a weekly event for our volunteers, interns, and students we offer salsa classes on Friday nights and culinary nights on Tuesday these are included in your stay and are free to join whenever you like. Salsaclasses and culinary nights are the ideal moment to meet new people, and a fun and interactive activity in your week.
Quechua is an old Inca language, spoken by lots of people throughout South America and in different dialects. People that want to communicate with locals in remote areas will have to learn this language to understand and be understood. Quechua is a beautiful language based on sounds rather than letters and has a wide variety of almost poetic details.
